Whale Watching Cruises

Departing daily from July to November

Each year the magnificent southern humpback whales migrate to and from Antarctica. As these leviathans of the deep make their way through our warm waters they feed, mate and play in the clean, clear blue sea of Moreton Bay.

About the cruise

Tours commencing July 4th.

Brisbane Whale Watching invites you to come on board the magnificent ‘Eye Spy’ for an encounter with the whales.

Of all the great whales, the Humpback is the most surface active displaying behaviour that will not only inspire you but leave you in awe. There quite clearly is no better place to observe the mighty Humpback Whale than Brisbane’s Moreton Bay, recognised as one of the world’s best whale watching destinations.

We believe that providing people with an opportunity to witness these amazing creatures first hand, not only do we put a lot of smiles on faces, but offer an increased awareness of the beauty of nature and the need to nurture our precious wildlife

Testimonials

We have been doing Brisbane Whale Watching excursions for the past few years, and every year has been a wonderful experience. This year the sea was choppier, however we had our best experience yet viewing these beautiful creatures of the sea. They were up close & personal and Mum even went under the boat just below where I was standing, followed by her baby. The buffet adds to the day. A wonderful experience on our beautiful pristine bay.

Ever since I moved to the Redcliffe Peninsula a couple of years ago, I wanted to go on this cruise, and this year, my daughter gave me a ticket as a present. She came with me, with my grandson of 2.5 years old. What a fabulous trip! Fantastic staff, excellent food, a wide range of beverages and snacks - and plenty of viewpoints to see heaps of whales and dolphins.

Went on a whale watching trip with Brisbane Whalewatching and it was excellent. You can feel that the entire team is really enthusiastic and really want to show us as many Whales as possible. Services and commentary were great. One of the best whale watching trips I've been on not cos of what I've seen but what how we well we were taken care of and by the team and also their enthusiasm in their job. Highly recommended.

We did this experience and we loved it, the staff were amazing with planning and very safety aware. We had a rescheduled day and we were fine with it. The day we did go out weather was amazing we saw a mother and calf multiple times. Kerry the Captain has an affinity with these great creatures and they choose to come close, very responsible staff and caring about animals comfort. HIGHLY recommended.

I went out whale watching with a mate for my birthday, and was totally blown away by the awesome time I had. As a 63 y.o.b. (year old bloke) lol, I couldn’t believe the smile that came to my face when I saw whale's frolicking in the water. I was blown away even more when a few of the crew came up to the top deck where I was with a birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday to me. I felt so special.

We have been visiting famialay in Brisbane, and this trip was suggested prior to our arrival in Australia. We were not disappointed, even my cousin being a local found it a day to remember. My wife was like a giddy child, running from each side of the catamaran in awe of the whales swimming along side us. Well worth the visit, buffet lunch was also good. Can't fault it at all, crew were helpful, professional and informative.
